Registration/Enrollment for Driver's Education

• A copy of student's birth certificate is required at time of enrollment
• Reading Proficiency Letter is not required to enroll in course
• Class fees payable at time of enrollment by phone to the Jenks Community Education office at 918-298-0340 with a credit card.  Enrollment and payment can also be made at the Jenks Community Education Office - 205 E. "B" St., Jenks, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday-Friday

• No refunds after class begins
• All fees refunded if class is cancelled

• Course consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction
• Six hours of behind the wheel driving is required
• Driving times vary according to number of enrollments
• Students will be expected to take notes during class

• Students can only miss one day of class
• Instructor will determine the makeup day of class
• Students are responsible for making up all class notes
• If student misses second day of theory, they will be dismissed from class and given the opportunity to take the next session

• Certified birth certificate
• Verification that student is attending high school and has passed the Reading Proficiency Test from the counseling office
• Student must be 15 1/2 years
• Class Instructor will take qualified students to the Motor Vehicle Department to obtain driver's permit at the completion of classes

• Most insurance companies will give a discount with certification of completion

• The Reading Proficiency test is offered once a month through the Community Education office
• A certifed birth certificate, social security card and picture ID is required at time of enrollment

• Cost: $250 In-District/$262.50 Out-of-District Students
• Class Dates: June 4,5,6,10,11 - Monday-Thursday
• Class Times:  8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
• Class Room:  To Be Determined
• Driving Times: June 12-25, 2013, 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.  No driving on Saturdays
• Makeup Day: June 12, 2013

• Cost: $250 In-District/$262.50 Out-of-District Students
• Class Dates:  July 1,2,3,8,9 - Monday-Thursday
• Class Times:  8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
• Class Room:  To Be Determined
• Driving Times:  July 10-30, 2013, 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.  No driving on Saturdays
• Makeup Day:  July 10

• Cost: $200/$210 Out of District Students
• Location: Freshman Academy Rm 2218
• Class Times: Aug. 20-Sept. 5  2:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.  Mon-Thur
• Driving Times: Sept. 9-Oct.26  2:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.  Mon-Fri and 8:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. Saturdays

• Complete Drivers Education in 3 weeks. Designed to help students with extracurricular activities.
• Cost: $250-$262.50 Out of District Students
• Location: Freshman Academy Rm 2218
• Class Times: 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.  Mon-Thur for 10 nights
• Driving times: Students will drive 2 times each week for three weeks, 2:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m., Mon-Fri and two Saturdays in 3 three hour sessions, completing driving time and class time in three weeks.
