Enrichment Camps and Classes


Community Education has implemented a small charge to class fees for Out-of-District participants.

Several enrichment camps and classes will be offered:
Fun with Art and Music Camp
For students who have completed 2011/12 fourth grade.
Camp Invention
Camp Invention fosters creativity, teamwork, inventive-thinking skills and science literacy while children rotate through four modules each day that disguise learning as fun.
Science Explorers (students entering 1st - 5th grades)
This camp is a 100% hands-on program designed to get students excited and motivated to learn about science.
Gears and Gadgets and Engineering using Customized LEGO Kits
Jenks Community Education is partnering this summer with All About Learning Inc. which is a leading provider of enrichment classes for grades K-8. Students will use customized LEGO kits to learn engineering concepts and practice 21st Century skills while they work with a partner to problem solve.

Summer Theatre Camps
Jenks High School Drama teachers, Kevin Hurst and Jeannie Bouditett, and JHS theater students will lead young actors in acting exercises, theatre games, improvisations "creative play" and dramatizations.

Tippi Toes Princess Dance Camp (ages 3 - 7)
Drums
Students must furnish a practice pad and a pair of drum sticks. These items can be purchased at the Guitar Center or The Saied Music Store.
